Car Park Competitors may use the member’s car park of The Roxburghe Hotel & Golf Course. The Scottish Golf Union and The Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course cannot accept responsibility for any damage to cars.
Catering Coffee and morning rolls will be available from 7.00am and bar snacks will be served all day served in the clubhouse. All catering is at competitors own expense.
Clubhouse The clubhouse will open each day at 7.00am. Competitors, their families and guests are permitted the use of clubhouse. Casual wear is acceptable but must be smart. THE WEARING OF JEANS, SHORTS, COLLARLESS SHIRTS AND TRAINING SHOES IS NOT PERMITTED.
THE USE OF MOBILE PHONES IS PROHIBITED IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND ON THE COURSE.
Competitors under the age of 18 shall not consume or purchase alcoholic drinks. Caddie Cars, Yardage Books& Discount Clothing Offer The Professional shop has caddie cars for hire on a first come first serve basis. Yardage books are also available for purchase.
The professional shop will also be running a special promotion on the weekend of the event.
All competitors will be entitled to a 10% reduction off all clothing only
Course and Play Competitors will play two rounds on Saturday 26 May & Sunday 27 May. The times for play on Sunday will be redrawn on Saturday and published as soon as possible once play has concluded. These times will be based on the current standings from Saturday.
All competitors must register at the SGU Championship Officer at least 30 minutes prior to their official starting time.
Competitors will be issued with a copy of the local rules, pin positions and pace of play guidelines.
COMPETITORS MUST REPORT TO THE OFFICIAL STARTER AT THE 1st TEE 5 MINUTES BEFORE THEY ARE DUE TO PLAY. Competitors are reminded that late arrival within 5 minutes of their starting time will lead to a two shot penalty. Those arriving in excess of 5 minutes will be disqualified under Rule 6-3.
Etiquette In the interests of all, players should play without delay repair all pitch marks and divots.
Insurance Your entry fee covers you for legal liability in the event of a competitor causing injury to another person or damage to a third party property. An excess of £15 will apply.
Practice Round & Practice Facilities Any competitor wishing to play a practice round prior to the event may contact the Roxburge Hotel & Golf Course to arrange a time, subject to availability. The junior rate of £40.00 per round will apply. Any adults accompanying a competitor and wishing to play will also be charged the applicable rate.
A practice ground is available at the course, ball tokens can be purchased from the professional shop, £3.00 for 50 balls.
PRACTICE BALLS MUST NOT BE REMOVED FROM THIS AREA UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. A player seen taking balls will be liable to disciplinary action by the championship committee.
Players must only use the practice balls provided and play from behind the white line. Please obey the instructions of the Range Attendant.
Presentation There will be no presentation, vouchers will be sent to those players who finish in the top three places.
Responsibility The Roxburghe Hotel and Golf Course and the Scottish Golf Union cannot accept responsibility for players’ property.

Directions/Map
From the North, travelling from Edinburgh Take the City South Bypass (A720) to the Sherrif Hall round-about at Dalkeith. Follow the A68 to Jedburgh. One mile before you reach Jedburgh, turn left at the Car Wash onto the A698 signposted to Kelso, for 7 miles. Just as you come to the village of Heiton, you will see signage for the hotel on your left.
From the South, travelling from Newcastle Take the A1 out of Newcastle heading north. At junction signposted Jedburgh, take the A68 North. Approximately one mile past Jedburgh on the A68, turn right at the Car Wash on the A698 signposted to Kelso for 7 miles. Just as you come to the village of Heiton, you will see signage for the hotel on your left.
From Kelso Town Centre From the town square, take the road south to the old stone bridge over the River Tweed and continue along this road, veering to the left at the JET petrol station until the T junction with at the new bypass. Turn right onto the A698. Follow the road for 3 miles. Once you go through the village of Heiton you will see signage for the hotel on your right.
From Berwick-upon-Tweed Rail Station Follow one way road out of train station and turn right at T junction to centre of town. Turn right at second round about over bridge. Turn right at roundabout at end of the bridge taking road to Edinburgh. Follow until main roundabout and take exit to Coldstream. Follow signs to Coldstream passing through Cornhill. From Coldstream follow signs to Kelso. Coming into Kelso take a left at the roundabout onto the A698 to Jedburgh. Follow the road for 3 miles. Once you go through the village of Heiton you will see signage for the hotel on your right.
